Summer Learning Opportunities

Prek-1st Grade
Summer Academy will begin on Monday, July 2nd. Students who will be attending the 4-year old preschool program, kindergarten and first grade are encouraged to attend. Summer Academy parent letters have been sent home with students. If you did not receive a letter and want your student to attend Summer Academy, please contact Kathy Reed, Summer Academy Director, for more information at 785-528-3171.

High School
Summer School will not be offered at Osage City Schools this summer.  High School students that have failed a class and would like to attend summer school for credit recovery may do so at The Lakes Learning Center.  If you are interested you may contact the high school office or call The Lakes Learning Center at 620-238-4793 or e-mail paul.schmidt@greenbush.org for more details.  The cost will be the student’s responsibility at the cost of $100 per half credit. 

Attention all High School & Middle School Athletes and Parents

On May 22 at 6:30 p.m., Osage City High School will be inviting all athletes and parents to the weight room for a summer weights and fitness “Kick Off” event. This event is to inform all parents of what the program will look like and encourage as many athletes as possible to participate.  If you have any questions about this event, please contact Mr. Gantenbein at the high school or Mr. Boss at the middle school.

Sports Physical Options

Osage Sports and Family Chiropractic - 415 Market St, Osage City

Sports/Activities Physical Day - Thursday, May 24th - 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Cost: $10 - All fees collected on this day will be donated back to the USD 420 weights and fitness facility in the form of equipment and accessories.

No appointment needed on this date only, just walk-in


Osage Family Care - 528 Market St. Osage City

Whole Month of May

$30 physicals the (This is a $10 discount from all other times of the year)

Appointment preferred, walk-ins accepted


Cotton O’Neil Clinic - Topeka

Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 8:00 am-2:00

Cost of the physical is $20.00 and $10.00 of that will be donated back to the school’s athletic department.


Parents: Please be sure to fill out the KSHSAA Eligibility Check List and the History Form, plus make sure all student and parent signatures lines are signed!  These are all required for your child to be able to participate in practice or competitions. Must be on file in the school office!


Spring Awards Assemblies

High School

Scholarships and Academic Awards will be on May 2, at 2:00 in the auditorium.  Academic awards will NOT include honor roll awards.


Middle School

This year the Middle School will be holding their awards assembly in the School Auditorium on May 15, 2018.  The ceremony will include all awards, academics, and athletics that occurred during the school year. Teachers and coaches will start presenting awards at 1:30 pm lasting about an hour and a half.  All family and friends are welcome to attend.

Elementary School

The elementary school will have their Awards Assembly on Tuesday, May 22nd at 1:30 pm in the auditorium. Students will be recognized for Spelling Bee, Perfect Attendance, K-Kids, Accelerated Reader Points, BUGS, and other special awards. Family members are invited to attend.
