With the cold weather coming in, the Technology Team wants to remind students and staff to not leave devices in their cars in the cold. You might ask, why? Firstly, extreme temperatures, whether it be cold or hot, is bad for devices. By letting laptops get incredibly cold, you can damage the screen, and/or battery. Nobody like it when there Chromebook dies in the middle of class, so do your best to keep your device healthy and ready to go. Nobody likes when their device freezes up and crashes. So don't let it physically freeze :) Secondly, there's a high chance of theft when you leave your device in a car. By leaving you device unattended in a car overnight, you increase the chance of theft. Remember: you are responsible for school issued devices. So take care of them like they were your own. If you have any questions about the best way to take care of your devices, please contact the USD 420 IT Team! Thank you!
