Great things happening at Osage City Schools!
The 3rd-block Introduction to Engineering class recently participated in an engineering competition where they designed and built a paper rocket, dropped it, and attempted to land it in a catching device. The goal was to use as few materials as possible while dropping the rocket from the greatest possible height to maximize their score. At the conclusion of the project, students were required to present various physics and engineering topics to the 2nd graders. The presentation served as a summative assessment for the high school students and provided a great opportunity for the younger students to observe and learn about STEM activities happening at the high school.
